The CRUK and EPSRC Cancer Imaging Centre at Cambridge and Manchester brings together world class basic, translational and clinical imaging researchers, with the overall vision to maximise the impact of imaging methods for patients with lung, brain, oesophageal and breast cancers.
Our work is focused on three key research themes:
Within these three themes, our research is broken down into eight research programmes. Each programme involves scientists and clinicians from both Cambridge and Manchester and is designed to capitalise on the complementary strengths of our partner organisations.
Only by drawing together different disciplines and fostering collaboration can we drive forward progress in cancer imaging. The Centre combines the expertise of researchers from various fields; including physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, computer science and medicine.
