The CRUK and EPSRC Cancer Imaging Centre at Cambridge and Manchester brings together two established centres for preclinical and clinical cancer research with a shared vision to develop advanced imaging techniques that benefit patients with lung, brain, oesophageal and breast cancers.
The Centre aims to:
- Diagnose cancer earlier
- Better predict outcome
- Detect treatment response
We will achieve these aims by combining the strengths of Cambridge in novel imaging, cancer cell biology, disease models and cancer genomics with the track record of Manchester in functional magnetic resonance (MR) imaging acquisition and analysis, radiobiology and cancer therapeutics.
